I know exactly what you are talking aobut. the diamiter of teh fork tube at the top is 43mm and as you slide down toward the wheel, it gets smaller, like 38mm and the triple tree clamps wont tight up on the forks now.

I just hate that, I guess that one way the Japanese guys can help you learn to ride the bike the way it was ment to be
