Default Why Choose LHT for your IC Piping ????

We at LHT believe you really do get what you pay for...
If someone wants to sell you a Dollar bill for 75c. ,there might be something he's not telling you.

This is an example of intercooler piping you may get when your shopping by price , not quality.

Here's a heavy steel pipe been used which doesn't quite line up, but with one guy pushing while the other guy gets the clamp on as fast as he can..."It should work",,,right

Here's the other end getting same kind of stress on the thorttle body. Also notice the bend, it's not the right degree so it's being "Cheated" to fit.

It's a 2.5" steel pipe that should fit through this 3.5" hole with room to spare and shouldn't rub ...right

OK, So it rubs a little....A piece of rubber jammed in there should take care of that.....Yea..."That's not going to squeek and rub through"

Well, At least the precision intercooler is mounted securely to the bumper support....

The bolt going into the bumper support is a roofing screw and it's only 1/4" dia. Maybe if there was 5 of them it may hold for a little...
Plus the wrong bolt was threaded into the intercooler and stripped out the threads.
This is why I don't follow a rough looking , primered car with a big exhaust. Something like that may fall off....lol

OK, This is what a Typical LHT Aluminum intercooler pipe kit looks like.

All the bends are smooth, the pipe is relaxed as it meets the throttle body with a straight shot into the intake.

It also fits through the 3.5' hole with no rubbing and pinching any wires.

The air intake temp sensor is tapped and threaded into a aluminum boss we added to the pipe to prevent boost leaks.

The intercooler is now bolted to 2 brackets welded to the bumper support. The holes were drilled out and tapped to a larger size.

All the piping is bead rolled to prevent blow off and paired with the heavy duty stainless clamps which have proven to hold 90 psi.

Remember this test on the Subaru Legacy...

Thanks for looking. Remember, you pay for quality, knowledge, skill and good workmanship.
