I am currently building my spare JDM H22a for N/A. For the rods I was going to take the stock ones and have them balanced and shot peened. Will these be able to handel an 8500 RPM redline? The crankshaft will also be balanced. The rods will be fitted with over-sized Type S pistons. From what I've heard/seen the Skunk2 Stage2 cams make power up to/past the 8500 mark (Skunk2 will not give me a direct answer) So I'm building the bottom end up as these are the cams I will be using.
