If the shocks were good to start with, it's hard to believe they could have
been blown out in 7 days, especially since the car wasn't really slammed,
but we don't know much about her driving......
Some people have brought cars to me for aftermarket spring installations where the shocks were bad to start with............and for sure, when the shocks are bad at the start, the shocks won't get better just because I install aftermarket springs for someone........
There is a difference in blown out and worn out....... worn out is where the shock ceases to damp any more. Blown out is where oil is leaking past the seals. Your definition may vary....
When oil is leaking past the seals, I don't know anything that can be done except toss the leaking shocks out.
If all they are doing is showing a loss of efficiency, sometimes shocks can be rebuilt................but only if your rebuilder has been doing it long enough to know what he is doing..................
People who don't know about shock rebuilding are better off to just go buy new ones, instead of complaining that since THEY can't rebuild shocks,
they think that neither can anyone else......-Bob
