Motorcyclist dies while chasing suspected thief

TOWN AND COUNTRY (Bay News 9) -- A motorcyclist is dead after he attempted to chase a man who police say robbed a woman of her prescription medication as she walked out of a pharmacy Wednesday afternoon.
According to police reports, the robbery happened after a woman walked out of a pharmacy at the corner of Hillsborough Ave. W. and Town and Country Blvd. As she was walked to her car, the suspect grabbed her prescriptions and jumped into the passenger side of a tan 4-door Honda with tinted wheels and no tag.
Police said Jason DeMarzian, 25, chased the suspect's car down Hillsborough Ave. while on his motorcycle. DeMarzian died after he crashed into a Ford Explorer driven by Tony Agan, 29, as he pulled out of a driveway.
The suspected thief is described as a bearded white man in his 20s or 30s, between 6' and 6'2" and 165-185 lbs., wearing a blue dress shirt, jeans and a blue hat. The tan Honda was driven by a white woman in her 50s with long blonde hair, wearing a white shirt and shorts.
