If you don't want to wear a helmet, so be it, but you are making the conscious choice that you may die because of your decision. Making it a law to wear a helmet doesn't make sense because you are not protecting anyone other than the rider who made the decision in the first place. Same thing with seat belts. I understand the comment above about making passengers in your car wear seatbelts because you don't want them flying around hitting you in an accident, but again, that is your responsibility to set that rule in your car, not the governments responsibility to make it a law..
