I have traced my lineage back quite a way. I have no black blood in me, but I DO have cherokee blood in me on my fathers side. With that said, I try not to be racist....However, I AM proud of my white herritage. I am also proud of my indian herritage. I don't, however, feel the need to shout it from the mountain top so to speak. I simply pass on the knowledge to my children so they, too, can be proud of their herritage.

I still feel the same way as the Aussie speaker does. This country was conquered by the white man. Deal with it. As the conquerer, we get to set the rules. We have been nice enough to allow indians their own "tax free" lands and such. We have also allowed them to have their reservations and casinos. That is far more than other conquering "tribes" would have allowed back in the days before the white man came.

Mexicans have been silently invading this land for some time and flying low under the radar. They are quickly becoming the new conquering force. If we don't speak up now and kick them back where they came from, then we will have no choice but to accept their rules...which will include changing the popularly known language of English to the popularly known language of Spanish. Blacks are quickly becoming the majority though and we may have a fight for a national language of swahilli (sp) or some other african dialect and spanish. I will continue to speak english though.
