351: Nitrous is just like any power adder, its used to enhance your motors potential, and when used on a properly built motor, It can be better than any forced induction kit on the market(obviously not when a 95HP civic puts a 55 shot on it and rockets itself to a blazing 15.2 1/4mile ET)
Joe, its not forced induction, there is no boost preasure created by nitrous! Infact its quite the opposite of boost, it creates more Vacume than all motor! Its more of a fuel addditive seeing it is mixed with the fuel to lower the Dense air charge, which creates more space in the combustion chamber for more air/fuel, which increases combustion!
To reply to the nitrous is cheating comment, That is completely insane! NMRA, NHRA FFW NIRA all have nitrous injected classes (im pretty sure all of the afore mentioned do, i know nhra and nmra do, for sure) So If the professions use Nitrous oxide to enhance thier ET's why is it cheating for street cars to do the same??
