Default took the car to the track last night

.... and it did....alright.

With a minor hiccup in the beginning of the night not having third gear in my c4 (Thanks Ford DNA for the screwdriver) things just got a little worse before they got better.
I still have not put any kind of tune on the car and shifting at the stock 6,250 rev limiter sux but all in all it stayed together and i am sure i have another half a second i can squeeze out of her, maybe.

so far the best time on the motor was a 7.9 @ 86mph. with a 28" tire and no tune with shifting at the limiter.
and with a lil shot of some happy gas it did a 7.233 @ 93.54mph w/ a 1.543 60' foot braking and leaving at about 2,200rpms or so.
I cant complain for the first night to the track with her on the bottle. nothing blew up, no smoke, knock ect. and it left the line pretty nice given the minor adjustments i need to make. It hooked pretty well and squatted and got the fuck out of the hole nicely and straight. i had a great time........ except i forgot my helmet and i had to wear the rental half helmet with the "save a horse, ride a cowgirl" sticker on it

a few changes i need to make;
- a BOTTLE HEATER! I didnt make a pass the entire night with the bottle over 850 psi At one point i took the bottle out of the back to stick in under the hood by the header and shut the hood over it to heat it up, but i didnt have enough time to keep it in there long and it got up to about 850psi. weaksauce.
-definatly a vacume canister with a check valve. I could definatly get a little better time if i had a brake pedal at the light to power brake with. If i went over 2,000 rpms the car would edge forward a bit and the pedal was like a rock.
-a TUNE! at least get rid of the limiter. The car feels like it is just getting up and screaming and i have to shift already.
-take out the 150lbs of crap in my car i got all kinds of tools and misc shit in the trunk and back seat. for traction of course
-A few tweaks to the nitrous kit. i got reamed and unapproving head shakes from Mitch on my last minute piece togethered budget kit apperantly purging through the motor with my wide open throttle switch in a bad idea?

thanks to:
- Shaun @ All American Street Car Performance for letting me use the lift at the last minute.
- Ford DNA for the screwdriver( which is good god drop dead gorgeous-er in person)
-And Mitch for the ass reaming on my hacked together juice kit
-and Sunshine or whatever it is called now, for letting me borrow the bad ass rental helmet.

oh and the car has absolutely no weight reduction and still has all accessories except the smog pump.

Giggity.
