It has been proven that the oven "can" weaken the wheels. The weakening of wheels may or may not affect some cars, but some cars have had their wheels crack on the track. I have searched and found people that have had cracked rims because of this. You can't say powder coating is 100% reliable can you? Either way, no matter what you say I think it can cause problems and I therefore won't use it. That's why I asked about painting.
