Scott and I did some tuning and research this weekend on the RS Enthalpy demo car. We used the facility at XAT and things went smoothly. We found that the tune was basically perfect as it was (which is good because I've been driving it like that for months!). Car is down on power a little over it's last setup, so we're going to go back to the dyno we used last year just to double check that someone else's dyno isn't reading high.
Results were 410whp, 323wtq at 1.3 bar boost. Power parts are 2.0L SR20 with JWT C1 cams, Greddy intake manifold, and Garrett GT3071R twin-scroll .78ar on a Full-Race manifold. Management is an RS Enthalpy ROM tune with Z32 mafs and 740cc Nismo injectors.
Last year, we made 427/332 but that setup included HKS 264in/272ex Step3 cams. This is mainly due to the high rpm torque drop off of the 264/264 setup versus the 264/272. Lose 10tq at 7500rpms and there goes 15hp! On the flip side, our current setup spools about 300rpms sooner than it did last year. I should also mention that the car is MUCH more well behaved around town with the C1's than the Step3's. The car is just as scary fast as it's ever been, too.
