CF interior pieces are not made for weight reduction, unless we are talking about a 1 off dash mold using minimal bracing made of aluminum or even carbon reinforcements. A CF shift knob is actually a lead/aluminum plug wrapped in carbon weave. So it is sometimes heavier than a stock shifter.
