Sales of the Ford Mustang increased 14.1% in May 2003 when compared to May 2002 sales figures. From January 2003 through May, sales of the Mustang increased 9.6% from a year ago. The Mustang is the 11th best selling car in the U.S. for the first five months of 2003.
Ford Division wants to keep the momentum going by offering 100,000 current Camaro and Firebird owners with a $50.00 test drive incentive through 30 June 2003.
The Mustang is the only remaining pony car left from the 60s era.
Hmmm, so as the F-body dies off, Mustang sales pick up? So much for brand loyalty.
I'd also be very curious to see what sales of Cobra's did once the 03's came out. That probably accounts for a large percentage of sales increase.
