Let me put this out there on the LSx motors.

1. In no way would I waste my time on a 5.3, even if it was a LM4 and aluminum. It doesn't fit the needs of anyone especially when one can obtain a LS1 for the same price with better proven internals. Sure, an intake and cam swap can net some gains but one is better off without a truck motor base.

2. When you go half-assed with the LSx motors, you get half assed results. 4.7s and 5.3s are like going with a CA or a single cam. Sure, great things can be done with both but why bother? There is no weight penalty for going 5.7, 6.0, 6.3 or 7.0 so if the cost for a 5.7 base block is close, why not do that? With the connections I have, a LS1 short block can be had for 300-600 bucks.

However, as you know, installing a LSx motor swap is quite expensive. I would do it in a heartbeat but I am a brokeass. Unless I got a deal and someone wanted their name on the side of my car as a billboard for my trip to Mexico to race, there isn't a chance in hell for me to get that motorset.

On the 1jz...

I don't wanna cross-breed like that. It's dirty...more dirty than a GM motor.
