It's less the car, more the owner.
A 1.5 Sohc 80's colt hatch ( by experience) had 297k on it, and we ran it for months without vac lines and a few leaking rad hoses. had more lifter noise than you could stand, but i put another 55k on it before the clutch went out. So it never really died...
And then we hear about 2006's fiasco with Toyota's absurd sludge problems.
Honda makes excellent cars.
You'll never see me bash one.
To be honest they probably do have (as a High-volume production type) the best quality control, so you could say they do.
