To be honest I have never had any bad run ins with law enforcement. I have been let of up until recently for a lot of things. I plan on becoming a law enforcement officer in the near future. I am not going to run, at the same token just pay more attention to my speed. I know its really easy to speed on a bike. I have been "warned' by LOEs while doing about 100 or so in my Z and they flip the lights on then turn em off. I have been pulled over for being a complete dick weaving in the Supra through traffic on 275, I expected to a ticket and he just said "its one thing to speed on your bike..." I still don't know what he meant, but in either case he let me off with a warning. Before that I ran a red light on accident (construction on roads I was too busy looking at road elevations) and he only gave me a ticket for expired insurance (mail still went to fathers house when I moved out for USF). The first time I got pulled on the bike he said "I'm surprised you pulled over" and let me off.
The only bad experiences I have had is one cop almost hit me pulling out from the parking lot where he was gunning and came into my lane. He gave me a lesser ticket for "failure to obey a traffic control device" I was happy for that even though it was like only $30 or so cheaper. The other time I was pulled over by an unmarked Charger and he just got to the point showed me his Laser with the speed and gave me a ticked. I can't expect much from him because thats all the unmarked cars like that do.
I understand if they are a dick because the deal with the lowest of the low every day. One of the instructors for my class is a Pinellas County Sheriff and I hear stories. The bottom line is I'll speed less and just ave to face the music.
