Well its not directly vehicle related..At my high school I was on the sailing team and someone had donated an old catamaran that I had never seen before..and the trailer was rusted out right where the tongue attached to the rest of the trailer frame. I mean it was REALLY rusted, and we wanted to tow the thing to the sailing squadron. So I got the bright idea to take a 12 ft steel pole, and shove it into the tongue..flex it up, and over the axle of the trailer to put tension on it. And then used a ratchet strap to crank it tighter till the trailer was rigid LOL. I have done too many ghetto fixes on my crx.
One good one was when the front crossmember (the one with the steering rack on it) tore at the right lca pivot..we welded it up with a shitty chicago electric welder running off a generator because it was too far away from a power source to get enough current. It broke like 2 months later, and we dragged it, busted axle, crossmember and all..back to the house
. Oh shit, I have pics of that!
After it broke this time I went and got a crossmember from a 4dr, but the only one I could find had power steering. So I had to use the rack too. And I drove it around unhooked for like 6 months..and even sold the car with it in there!
(only one that wasnt deleted)
