Had the bolts that held my shift cables to the tranny fall out as we were test driving my car after a clutch job at 3 am. Stranded in a turn lane in the middle of 56th street, running open downpipe for the first time and worrying because it was loud as hell, a cop behind me all of a sudden with his lights on- I kindly declined his offer to push the car into a parking lot by ramming my rear bumper with his push bar. I ran two or three zip ties through each of the bolt holes and zip tied the assembly together. It was pretty sloppy shifting but it held to get me back to the garage! I was impressed- that was a lot of force to expect zip ties to hold.
