Regarind Orion's request for more torque, it strikes me the same as other automatic and ill considered criticisms of small discplacement four cylinder engines.

The obsurdity is we have here a car that gets from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds - faster than about any production car on Earth and faster than many race cars, a remarkable achievment from an engine that, as Orion says, is "torqueless."

I'm betting tire spin on the current configuration is quite enough to deal with, so go ahead and drop in something heavier and with more torque to aggravate the problem. With some effort, we can probably get that 0-60 time up to about 4 seconds.
