Then if you find a 2.5" muffler, you have no proof that it won't be so restrictive that it won't make any power. The S2K muffler has been tested but 2.25" is too small for what I want to do. I'm guessing these are all reasons nobody does this.
That Circuit Sports exhaust looks awesome. The Megan Type II doesn't look bad, either. I just wish they wouldn't have put dual 3" tips on it. There's no reason to have dual tips bigger than 2.25" on a single 3" exhaust; twin 2.25" pipes have more area than a single 3". I might have those cut off and smaller tips welded on or something. I think I'll go by XAT next week and see if they have any cars with one of those Megan exhausts mounted hanging around. I'll research more into both of those exhausts on the national 240 boards as well. That there are even two exhausts that sorta-kinda meet my needs is amazing. My friend has a 3" exhaust on his car with a 3.5" tip, one of the smallest tips I've seen on such an exhaust. Some kids in a parking lot started talking to him about his car and then they made fun of his exhaust- "Why is your exhaust tip so small?"

They showed him their car and it was a 3" exhaust with some 5" tip that looked like a Folger's can. With that kind of person dominating the import scene I can see why it's so hard to get a reasonable muffler that doesn't look like it belongs on a Hot Import Nights car.
If you go to XAT on tues, thurs, or friday my wife will be there in the 240 and she will let you hear it.
