Manual boost controllers are the cheapest way to screw your engine.
When you get a tune Snowman will adjust your boost to a curve....meaning it will peak around 18-19, but taper back down to 14-15 at redline. A manual boost controller will run whatever boost you set it to all the way till redline..not to mention will get no extra fuel/air, or timing. That's a good way to break a lot of potential shit with a cheap $50 mod.
Snowman tuned is the way to go and you will be very happy. If anything invest in an electronic boost control solenoid, which will actually help him with the tune.
