The Camry and the RAV4 have the same engine, 2GR-FSE. Last I checked the statistics, the RAV4 was a hair marginally faster. It really depends on the source; could be a driver's race. Nothing has changed over that year. Before the 3rd gen RAV4 came out, 2005 or so, it was the Highlander Hybrid.
