thanks guys. when i was a 8, my dad used to have a teal 68 fastback. he would have me shift for him and he would sidestep the clutch and make the tires bark which always had me giggling. that car turned me on to mustangs. next to a 69 vette, this is my ultimate car.
we had been looking for another 68 for the last 7 or 8 months. we weren't looking for a project. we wanted a finished product.
we found finally found this car on ebay. he had a high reserve on it. we made him a cash offer and he canceled the auction and agreed to the offer. the car was completely restored 4 years ago, has a numbers matching 289 with auto, full center console, power disc brakes, power steering, factory A/C, and all original sheet metal. the car was out in california.
definitely spent a clam or two or 25,000 on it.
