Default Wire location question

First problem is, after she starts I can drive it anywhere, no problems, runs great. I turn it off and go to start and she won't start just spins over like a mofo, lots of spark.

Working on my 86 GT T-top, I was doing the plug wires and I noticed a wire standing out away from the harness. It's coming from the bottom side of one of the round harness plug-ins on the backside of the intake manifold (the salt and pepper shakers as some people call them). I grabbed it to follow it and it came out of whatever it was connected to with a butt connector. I have no clue where this wire goes, Haynes nor Chilton is really giving me an idea with their wiring diagrams and I'm not getting a fuel injector ground pulse from the PCM now it seems . Anyone know what this wire goes to? According to what I've seen it's the PCM ground, but when I grounded it she didn't start up. Unsure if maybe it's some other wire that needs voltage and I can't seem to find the other half

Maybe I'm going crazy and that wire is not an issue but it sure is annoying!

FYI I just put a new fuel pump, ignition module and cap&rotor as preventative maintainence =p
