For me to get my car running!
Seriously tho. I am building my car for what I want out of it and what I want to do with it. (my fun factor/budget) I'm not building it for a particular class. With that said, I'm sure there are several things about my car that would disqualify me for certain classes, etc or hurt me in others.
As for the average racer or budget racer, it can usually come down to the cubic dollar, taking the average racer or budget racer back out of the equation. Don't get me wrong, you can definately go fast on a budget, but when equally minded/skilled racers go at it, the one with the most money has the advantage. That's why alota street classes can get out of hand.
Sorry to ramble, but I think budget classes often equal bracket classes, where my car might only fit in if I want any chance at being competitive. I am not building a car that will only see the drag strip (not implying that all others do).
I'm not sure how this is coming off, and most definately not knocking any ideas, just that for my particular setup, it will probably be hard to place my car into a particular class to be competitive. (jmho) rear coil-over and mini-tubs along with full interior a/c, stereo, most power options etc.
