Jeff, My advice to you... ~> Buy the best camera you can afford!!! I bought the 30D not knowing wtf I was doing but, if you have 1/2 a brain, you can figure it out!!!

Dont listen to the people who will tell you to start out w/ a lower end camera until youre used to it!!! Reason being is that you will "out-grow" it in a few months and wish you paid a little more for a better camera!!! <~ Instead of paying for it twice!
