yep size of the block. For chevys small blocks USED to have all the distributors in the back, and the big blocks had them in the front. So that was an easy way to tell.

Outside that its just the engines overall size, I had a ford 400 (351 overbored), and it was big, but not huge liek a 460 would have been.
