Evo 1-3 motors drops into 2nd generation DSM, Evo 4-8 have a different design, they flipped the head, and the tranny bolts to the other side of the motor, if you wanted it to fit, it'd take a whole helluva alot of work....evo motor makes more power cause it has a stronger fuel system and stronger turbo, 560cc (somethin like that) injectors and a Big 16G turbo, any other dsm w/ the same stuff set up properly will make the same horsepower....just for the record...the fastest evo's were the Evo III
