make sure the TQ converter isn't bad. the tranny could still be good and the TQ converter could just be bad. it slips in all gears like you said it might be the converter. if thats the case he didn't sell you a bad tranny. but you still have to take it back apart in any case which sucks. i'd just do a manual swap.
i wanted to say that but id rather the guy bitch about a 50buck tranny
