i personally prefer a gsr head, for the fact that the shape of the combustion chambers seem to be a little more well suited for all motor performance. plus it has a lower cylinder head cc so you will have more compression no matter what piston you decide to use. make sure you follow that guide though. arp rod bolts, b16 or itr pistons, a block girdle, and head STUDS are a definate must in order to create a reliable setup. you may also want to consider cryo-treating and shot peening your rods. btw, the best way to start an ls/vtec swap is to realize that vtec does not end in h! you will find a lot more in your searches that way. i actually have a set of b16 pistons in perfect condition if you are interested.
