The bill will require an automaker's fleet of cars, pickups, SUVs and vans to have an average fuel economy of 35 miles per gallon in 2020. The standards currently are an average 27.5 mpg for cars and 22.5 mpg

So now we've got to get 7 or so mpg more out of a fleet. ALL cars average MPG to equal 35 mpg by 2020. How do you think Chevy will accomplish that? Strip power from it's flagship, or make a few of it's commuter cars hybrid? What about the Volt (if it hits market in 2010), that can get 60-150 mpg? Sounds like they just met the requirements.
