better top end power, better spool up, better fuel economy (so long as you don't go romping all the time), better handling and better braking.
Tires will always add in every aspect of acceleration too (acceleration, braking and turning).

they are also very safe cars too. Crash tested extremely well and have one hell of a b-pillar!!
