the VPC kicks but on a GM conversion. and it should, originally cost 1100 made in japan. compare that to a 300 weak usa conversion. I have used both and wouldnt dream of using a gm conversion on my car. in short they suck big time with drivability A/F problems. It will work the dsm link.
