that still makes no sence to me....more load doesn't mean more exhaust even though it might be easier to get boost when you are in higher gears. It makes more sence to me that the transmition is putting more backpressure on the intake and that is what makes the boost more consistent in higher gears. That would also make sence as to why a leak would affect your car more in a higher gear. those are my thoughts on the subject, but I'm probably wrong. peace,
