A cold air intake on your accord will increase power, maybe 6-10hp.

IMO you would be better buying a RSX-S and modifiy it, there's so much more potential with the K motor .
Most problems with the 06-07 Civic Si is from "pilot error", meaning people are shifting the car too hard or power shifting. This will damage any tranny, The 06-07 Civic Si is a great platform but is going to cost you more than a RSX-S and is a little heavyier.
The RSX would be my choice .
