If you get the length pushrod that you need t compensate for that (way off), the rocker is going to move a LOT across the tip of the valve. I doubt you could compensate that much with pushrods anyway. Looks to me that something else is off.

It would be easy and cheap to get someone elses rocker arm and put it on there just to test. I suspect the rockers.
