They cost $5000 average for a used unbuilt motor. Overpriced, sure, but they are rare. After a rebuild and port they go over $7-8k but handle 1000hp with a good sized turbo and tuning. If it doesn't sell by tax return time I think the car might go into surgery for a single conversion.
