We checked pushrod length like 40 times with a comp cams pushrod checker. The pushrods that are in this motor are the ones that are supposed to work with it. The only way to get the roller tip of the rocker to sit correctly on the valve stem is to use a 6.950 push rod but if you use that long of a pushrod there are not enough threads left to lock down the poly lock. We then measured from the center of the screw in stud to the center of the valve guide and they are all out of whack. Some of them are not even straight. The problem is the valve or screw in stud is to far apart so the rockers don't sit on the valve stem correctly. I even tried putting a set of SBC rockers on it since they are a little longer from the roller tip to the fulcrum and they did fit a little better but were not perfect.

I have said this 30 times and will say it again, Push rods are not the problem.
