small peppy high revving motors like those usually do have lower torque numbers than hp. motors that dont rev as high are built like that since they usually make most of their power in torque at the low end of the powerband.


I only wind my 2.4L up to about ~6000 (the stock cams make all the power die off after that, rev limiter being at about 6500), but it makes great torque from 1500rpm to about 5500rpm, with peak being 4400 or so, IIRC from the factory output ratings. hooray for 'truck motors'...im hoping to have 225+ to the wheels by 2000rpm-5000rpm at least once the new setup gets finished in the fall.
