lol goodluck it looks like you have your heart set on this a3, you gonna need it. also about the comment about "what's better then a k motor?" thats like me asking whats better then a b motor? there's a big difference between b16,b17,b18a,b18c1,b18c5 etc. same goes for k20a,k20a2,k20ar,k203,k24 etc. there are advantages and disadvantages to each, you should really take your time RESEARCH the subjects/motor/whats actually involed in the swap and then make your decision on what would be the best motor for what you want to accomplish/spend. dont just build up any k you find and try and figure things out as you go cause you'll end up spending way more money then you have to and getting beat by another k w/less mods and money put into it. also running 12.5:1 c/r you will need k-pro to tune it correctly. on a side note you are correct that its not the motor but it's what you do with it that matters, but unless your some type of baller guy who has nothing better to do then dump alot of money and parts into a motor that is not going to be as beneficial in the end as another motor (say:k20a2, k20a, k20aR) with the same ammount of mods then so be it. again imo just sell the k20a3 you have w/ parts you bought and buy a nice k20a2 for ~ $4k complete swap. buy some mounts (if they have them yet) ~ $600 axles ~ $400 and wiring ~ $350 header ~ $350 and prc (i believe someone correct me if i'm wrong) jdm dc5-r ecu ~ $400 bolt it in and call it a day.
