It doesn't take much to get into that sort of thing. You'd need to invest in a decent camera and a decent lighting setup. There are all sorts of aspiring models that are looking to expand their portfolio, you just need to find one or two to do shoots with you so you can show your stuff to the rest of the models...

Unless you really suck at it, in which case you'd be shooting yoruself in the foot.
