I'm normally a do it yourselfer but I bought a life time service plan for my R1 at barneys. I didn't really think it out but the place is like 30-45 minutes from where I live, plus I have to get someone to follow me in the car and bring me back. The plan was something like an extra $1,000, so I'll be damned if I'm going to not get every last service out of it, but my only complaint is having to ride that far. Other than that it's been worth it.
