What's ideal is the fact that all your major shops are all located in the same area, so it would take you an afternoon to go visit, take a look at the shop, a look at their overall work, and speak to the people that work there. Everyone has their own opinions, but you should make your final decision yourself from what your perceptions are after your visits.
