I won't be looking for 8's or anything. I'll just do a stock short-block with what ever heads I can afford ( prob. be ported stockers ). A C4/C6 tranny. Prob. do a T-76 or even more likely twin SVO T3s. Intercooled for sure. 33-spline 8.5 rearend.
Won't be looking for anything to drive on the street at all. I could get it down to 2600LBS. and it should run 10's without much boost. The drivetrain shouldn't have an issue due to weight and the more gental auto tranny.
If I can make a TD04 FWD 4 banger in a 3120LBS. ( with driver ) dodge neon run 11.94 without juice, then I shouldn't have an issue making a race only 5.8L 2800Lbs. with driver RWD car run 10's.
Ole yea, and I full access to plasma cutters, torches, mig/tig welders, shears, cold cut saws, and band saws. I won't pay anyone to do anything, just like my neon. That being said, that would take a lot of my time up, and that's what I'm wanting to get away from now.
