As far as labeling the old buckets go, the video (very consciously) makes no assumption about what you might or might not be doing after you get the head apart.
As far as the camshaft caps being labeled, yes they are labeled to include: intake/exhaust and position number. They are not labeled RHS or LHS. The labeling method provided is foolproof.
very true about not knowing why the individual is tearing the head down. Even if reusing the same buckets and cams I still check lash (only time I did this was a guy only wanted springs and retainers).
I split my parts collection up per head and keep seperate bins/baggies so I've never had to worry about it...I'm actually quite anal about labeling too and still label which buckets went where even though it isn't needed (maybe I'm OCD
)...the only things left out that I do when doing a head (but I'm porting, etc) is oil and coolant plugs to clean and of course valve seals...
I really did like the video and takes some of the mystery out of the head for those who have never done them.
I still give it two thumbs up
