7.) Body Components / Wheels & Tires
A) Any aftermarket hoods, trunks, and rear hatches must be accompanied with hood pins.
B) It is necessary to close all holes that run from the room to outside the vehicle.
C) Aero parts such as GT wings and canards must not exceed overall vehicle width and length. We
reserve the right to remove any components that are considered hazardous or pose a threat to the
safety of persons at the venue.
D) Protruding body components such as GT wings and canards must have rounded edges.
E) Steel or aluminum retaining clips must accompany all rear acrylic / Plexiglass / Lexan windows.
They must be bolted down or riveted to prevent detachment.
F) Wheel spacers must not display any form of physical flaws, and made of high-tensile forged
aluminum.
G) Any vehicles manufactured 10 years or prior to event date are required to have recent hub bearing
service of at least within the last one year prior to technical inspection for the day of event.
H) All exterior components including body, wheels and tires must be securely fastened to the vehicle
by correct fastener and be able to withstand a harsh impact without detaching from the vehicle.
8.) Fire Extinguisher
A) Every vehicle must be equipped with a hand held two (2) lb. minimum capacity fire extinguisher
with valid and current expiration date and certified for automotive, electrical and petroleum fuel
classification capability.
B) The extinguisher must be secured in a vertical position. (riveted fastening is prohibited)
C) Metal straps that provide a single handed release mechanism enforced. (Zip ties are prohibited)
D) The extinguisher must be placed within arms reach of the driver.
E) Common fire extinguisher standards such as capacity must be listed clearly on the label. Dry
powder type extinguishers need to be re-packed every 3 years and display the expiration date.
F) Fire extinguishers with any sort of external damage are prohibited.
G) Fire extinguishing device must be present when fueling. Refueling must be performed with 2
persons. One person shall hold the fire extinguisher at the ready to be able to address any
emergencies.
H) Regardless of whether the vehicle is in or outside of the pit area, mechanics refueling the vehicle
must be outfitted with a fire resistant suit and a helmet. When the violation comes to light, the
team is disqualified by the staff at once.
I) The fire extinguisher ownership of each team is confirmed at the car inspection. Each team must
bring the fire extinguisher of the team ownership to the car inspection.
9.) When the violation of the regulation goes out to the vehicle by the accident under the qualify and elimination tournament time, it is original of the rule application and prohibited running for five minutes until being possible to restore it.
10.) Driving suits are required and must be made of fire resistant material and certified to SFI spec 3/2A-1, or homologated by the FIA, which effectively covers the body, including neck, ankles, and wrists. A proof of certification will be requested by D1. Multi-layer driving suits are recommended.
11.) All competitors must be equipped with a fire resistant mouth and nose covered face mask, race suit, full length socks, shoes, and gloves. Shoes and gloves must be made of leather, or any other approved fire-resistant material and must be free of holes, tears or other openings except those made by the manufacturer of the equipment. It is necessary to wear the fire resistance inner suit of at the time wearing of the separate type racing suit.
12.) All competitors must be equipped with a JIC or SNELL compliant helmet during competition. Half helmet must wear with head restraints. Jet or Open helmets (Cap type) are prohibited. SA approved helmets with 2000 Snell Foundation (SA2000 to year 2010) or later approved sticker inside. Head and neck restraints are optional but must be Snell Foundation (SA) approved. Face shields are mandatory.
13.) The racing suit and the helmet are inspected at the same time with car technical inspection.
