k so i kno one day im going to boost. no doubt about it, instead of the n/a ls vtec thats in the del sol right now its more then likely gonna b a boosted b20 vtec. i had a couple questions/concerns tho.

i was thinking of doin an all honda part internally (bottom and top) setup on boost. of course this means upgraded rod bolts n shot peend/polished b20 rods n what not (i have this already on the n/a setup so ill just get another set done for boost.) my main concern is the b20 pistons. how strong are the ringlands? do they hold up to heat well? i kno they wont b as strong as a forged piston, but honda knew what they were doing when they built the b series. is there some sort of heat dissapating coating that can b used on pistons? i kno there are coatings for exhausts, intercoolers, n such, but would they work on pistons? (i believe its called pro coat. its a black heat disapating coating).

also, i know that with a gsr head on the stock b20b pistons its about 9.0:1 compression. which is decent for boost. my only question is with this compression and the oem parts, how much boost could b run (93 octane pump gas of course),and how much power can be expected? im not shooting for anything massive. id b happy with 350 to the wheels on a reasonable amount of boost. its still gonna b a dd with ac.

i have basically everything needed for the b20 vtec, minus the block. the turbo kit is where the big money would b spent. anyone have any recommendatoins as far as a turbo (size, type, etc) and a good log style manifold that will allow ac to b kept?

any and all imput is appreciated. this isnt going to happen over night. im still doin mods to the current motor. but i plan on just swappin the head over (again all honda parts) and upgrading to a better intake manifold n tb. like i said its not gonna b an over night project, BUT it WILL happen sooner or later. just wanted to c what ppl had to say n if anyone had done it b4. thanks in advance!!!
