theres no reason to back you up on the rear wheel drive debate since ITS NOT REAR WHEEL DRIVE.

here how about a picture of a 85 celica engine bay (sorry to the owner of this car on my forum but it's the cleanest one)



Now how the hell do you attempt to say that is a FWD engine? first of all look at where the strut towers are how do you plan to get CV axles to go 3 feet forward to where the front wheels are? seeing as there halfway up the length of the engine.

The first celica to ever be made FWD was made in 08/1985 for the 1986 model year. look at the second sentence of the 4th gen in the Toyota celica wikipedia.

no 20R/22R/22RE/22RTE has EVER been FWD....EVER unless it was a really weird mod since no FWD transmission fits it. If it were FWD the engine would sit SIDEWAYS (excluding a few wacky saabs and Cadillacs)
