Bring the old carb over here along with the rebuild kit. I'll have it back to you in a day. Or, just bring the car over here with a new Holley Street Avenger like I have and it'll be fixed in 10 minutes and running/idling like a champ.

Install that coil I gave you and run new wires as far as you can as well. Additionally, make sure you've got a clean fuel filter on it and a way to check how much fuel pressure you've got. Sounds a lot like the fuel pump is getting old and when combined with the fuel leaks/crappy carb that you're not getting enough fuel pressure.
