I've got mac shorty equal lengths on my '88 5.0, and I'm having trouble with removing the third spark plug back on the driver's side. I can't even get a socket on the plug, much less a rachet. I tried swivel head sockets and even an open end wrench( which is how I got it on there last time.) I don't want to pull the header back(laziness), but I feel like I'm going to have to. I'm going to try to get to get an s-shaped box end wrench, but that's my last known option. Anybody else had this problem and got something creative? BTW, the plug in there now is an ACCEL shorty header plug.
